MEES

Energy reduction and MEES

MEES regulations have been enforced from April 2018. Any properties with a poor asset rating (EPC of F or G) can't have leases put in place or renewed unless improvement works have been carried out or the property has been listed on the excemption register.

In a World of ever increasing energy prices surely it’s in our best interest to look at ways of reducing how much we use as well as looking for better energy prices. Reducing a property's energy consumption can often be very simple and has two effects to the end user. Reduces the properties energy bills and reduces the properties carbon emissions, either directly or indirectly.

Often simple measures can result in big savings, optimising controls on HVAC plant or lighting for instance.

Our Energy and Carbon Reduction survey consists of the following:

  • A visit to the site to gather information on current HVAC and lighting system and controls.
  • Analysis of current HVAC and lighting system and controls.
  • Issue of report with suggested improvements to current HVAC and lighting systems as well as estimated carbon and cost saving calculations.
